Dear Members of the East Windsor Community,
East Windsor will celebrate its 250th Birthday in 2018. Our town was incorporated in 1768. Much water has poured over the Broad Brook Dam since that beginning. The strength of East Windsor lies in two complementary parts of the town’s make up, its businesses and residents. East Windsor is steep in history and is growing toward a bright future. From the proud past of the Warehouse Point Connecticut River shipping terminal and Broad Brook Mill to our present community of 1000 local companies, we look forward with confidence. The town strives to be business friendly, well-run and fiscally responsible so that our
business leaders may look to a stable financial base from which you may operate growing profitable businesses.
Our community has always played a major part of defining who we are. The East Windsor 250th Celebration Committee is currently planning nine months of events that will make our town proud. We are working hard to make the birthday celebrations something that everybody will remember fondly. The town has provided the Committee with seed money, however, the rest is up to the 250th Celebration Committee. We
think that the nine months of events will cost $100,000 (key events would be the kick-off event of the Masquerade Ball, 2018 Winter Fest, Reenactment, Food Truck Fest and the final event of Community Day burying a 2018 Time Capsule). We are asking members of the Community for their help. Please open your hearts and wallets to make 250th Anniversary Celebration a success.
250th Merchandise is available for purchase around town. (250th Anniversary meetings, 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month @ 113 Scantic Rd at 7:00pm and Warehouse Point Library or by email below). Check out our website for merchandise and prices.
