Board of Assessment Appeals

Please be advised the meeting posted for January 17, 2009 at 8:30 a.m. has been rescheduled as follows:
A. A special meeting of the Board of Assessment Appeals, Town of East Windsor will be held on Monday, January 5, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. (with a snow date of Wednesday, January 7, 2009) at the East Windsor Town Hall, 11 Rye Street, Broad Brook.
At this organizational meeting the Board will discuss the following:
1. Review and approve the Application form for Hearings to be held for potential appeals of the October 1, 2008 Grand List and the Motor Vehicle Supplemental Grand List of October 1, 2007;
2. The Board will also set their meeting and hearing schedule for Spring hearings for Taxpayer appeals on the October 1, 2008 Grand List and the Motor Vehicle Supplemental Grand List of October 1, 2007; and
3. Approval of September 18, 2008 minutes.
B. A regular meeting of the Board of Assessment Appeals will be held on Friday, February 20, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the East Windsor Town Hall, 11 Rye Street, Broad Brook.
At this meeting the Board will take action as follows:
1. Review taxpayer applications received in a timely fashion for appeals of the October 1, 2008 Grand List and the Motor Vehicle Supplemental Grand List of October 1, 2007and schedule specific hearing dates for each appeal received;
2. Approval of January 5, 2009 (or snow date, January 7, 2009, if applicable) Special Meeting minutes.
