TOWN OF EAST WINDSOR HUNGER ACTION TOWN
PowerPacks is a supplemental weekend food program that provides a drawstring pack to children at the Broad Brook Elementary School to bring home on Fridays. This program is being offered by the East Windsor Hunger Action Team. The packs are filled with nutritious food and snack items for the child and their family. Food provided is meant to supplement what the family is able to provide over the weekend.
Packs are distributed on Friday before dismissal and must be returned to school on Monday in order to be filled for the following week.
Eligibility for this program is based on household income. Please see the chart below.

There are two easy ways to qualify for this free program. Registration is easy!
Option 1: If you are already approved for Free and Reduced Meals at school you will automatically qualify. Bring your letter from the Board of Education showing that you have been approved to Human Services at the Annex and complete a registration form for Power Packs.
Option 2: Visit Human Services to apply for this free program. You will need to bring; ID, proof of address, proof of household income for all members, recent utility bill, and bank statements. Complete a registration form for Power Packs.
Human Services is located at the Town Hall Annex at 25 School Street, East Windsor 860-623-2430. This program is not directly affiliated with the East Windsor Public Schools.
Applications are due by Friday, September 22nd. Distribution will begin Friday, October 6th.
