DOG RE-LICENSING
Town residents have until August 1st to register their dogs with the Town Clerk's Office.
Animal Control Officer's will begin issuing $75.00 fines required by state law to owners of unlicensed dogs after that date.
Dog licenses can be obtained at the Town Clerk's office at 11 Rye Street. If the dog's rabies vaccination has expired, the dog must be re-vaccinated and the certificate must be shown to the Town Clerk before the license can be issued.
There are more than 350 dogs in the town that have not been re-licensed for the period July 1st until June 30, 2007.
