Dog Licensing
The Animal Control Officers are responsible for the enforcement of dog licensing laws.  There is a fine of $75.00 for Failure to License a Dog.  All dogs must wear a collar or harness which the license and rabies tag must be attached to.  The fine for Failure to Vaccinate a Dog or Cat for Rabies is $136.00 per animal.  A dog without tags by State Law is considered unlicensed and unvaccinated and fines may be issued.

All dogs six months and older must be licensed each year during the month of June.  Dog licenses are issued by the Town Clerk which is located at the East Windsor Town Hall, 11 Rye Street, Broad Brook, CT.  Proof of current rabies vaccination must be shown at the time of licensing.  If your dog has been spayed or neutered a veterinarian certificate must be shown to get the lower license rate.  The license fee for a spayed or neutered dog is $8.00 and the fee for an unaltered dog is $19.00.  There is a late penalty fee of $1.00 per month starting July 1 of each year.
