SPECIAL TOWN MEETING
April 3, 1956
AMENDMENT TO ORDINANCE CONCERNING
THE LICENSING AND REGULATION OF
HAWKERS AND PEDDLERS
Section One: Under Authority of Chapter 234 Conn. Gen. Rev. 1949, Vending, Hawking or Peddling upon the public streets or from house to house within the limits of the Town of East Windsor of any goods, wares or other merchandise at public or private sale or auction is hereby prohibited except by those persons duly licensed by said Town.
Section Two: The Town Clerk may grant licenses therefore to suitable persons upon the payment of a fee of Twenty-five (25) Dollars a year for each team or vehicle used in connection with such vending, hawking or peddling.
Voted an amendment to use the above resolution as follows:
That non-profit charitable organizations that serve the interest of the community shall be excluded from this ordinance.
