ONE STOP HOMICIDE
ROBBERY GONE BAD
------------------------Brief Summary of Incident----------------------

On 02/28/2007 at 2129 hours, while officers were investigating an Armed Robbery at the Warehouse Point Mobil, North Rd., East Windsor, a second reported Armed Robbery, with an Attempted Homicide, was reported at the One Stop Convenience Store, located at 68 Depot St., East Windsor.  Witnesses to this Armed Robbery reported hearing a loud "bang" with two black males fleeing the scene of the Convenience Store.  Male victim was found lying outside the store on the front sidewalk.  Victim was identified as store owner, Javed Akhtar, age 32.  The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the neck area.  The victim was transported to a medical facility with life threatening injuries, underwent surgery for those injuries and was listed in critical condition. The victim later died as a result of the injuries he sustained from the gunshot wound.  Suspects fled towards the Mill Pond Village Apartment Complex where two vehicles were observed fleeing the area at a high rate of speed.  The vehicles were identified as a red Ford Mustang, mid nineties, and a black SUV.  Suspects were described wearing a white jacket and a dark colored hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over the head.  No further description of the suspects.
