The East Windsor Senior Center, located at 125 Main Street in the Broad Brook section of East Windsor, has been in operation since May of 1980. East Windsor residents, sixty years of age or older, are welcome to participate in scheduled programs and vital services. Senior Centers are focal points for the older population as they seek out services, recreational programs, social activities, and educational programs. We strive to promote the socialization, independence, self-sufficiency, and community involvement of our senior citizens.
The Senior Center is a non-profit agency, requiring no dues or Membership Fees.
Under the umbrella of the Senior Center, the Director is responsible for the administration of senior services and programs, transportation services for elderly and handicapped, and nutrition services (both on-site and Meals-on-Wheels) for homebound elderly. The Director is a full-time position, assisted by a part-time Clerk position. The transportation service employs one full-time Coordinator and three full-time drivers. The nutrition service employs one full-time (25 hours weekly) Site Manager.
