What We Do

The Water Pollution Control Authority is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Town-owned Sewer Treatment Plant and Collection System. Sewer service provided by the WPCA is similar to other public services such as gas, water or electricity. The cost of providing that service is borne by those who use the public sewer system.

Operations

The WPCA staff is comprised of 9 people: A Superintendent, a Chief Operator, a Business Administrator, a Lab Technician and five Operators. All operations personnel, except the Business Administrator, hold professional certifications.

Management

The Water Pollution Control Authority Board is a five-member body appointed to four-year terms manages the Water Pollution Control Authority. The Board meets the last Wednesday of every month at 7:00 pm at the WPCA Facility, 192 South Water St., East Windsor.

Emergencies: Emergency Call-In is 24 Hours per Day, 7 Days per Week. Contact the Police Department at (860) 292-8240 with After-Hour Sanitary Sewer Emergencies.
