Parks & Recreation Annual Scarecrow Contest

It's time for the Annual Parks & Recreation Scarecrow Contest. 2022's theme is "People's Choice" so get those creative juices flowing! This annual contest is open to individuals, families, groups, organizations and businesses. All entries will be judged online through the East Windsor Parks and Recreation Facebook Page beginning October 19th. Winners will be notified and prizes will be awarded to the Top 3 Displays!
Rules:
- Register at the Parks & Recreation Office by calling 860.627.6662
- All scarecrows must be registered and set up in front of Town Hall at 11 Rye Street (Broad Brook) between October 15th and October 18th.
- Your scarecrow must be able to withstand weather and wind
- Perishable goods are not recommended for use in your scarecrow
- Only 2x4 pieces of lumber are allowed to secure your scarecrow to the ground
- Label your scarecrow with an easily visible sign that has your name and theme
- Remove your scarecrow no later than November 9th (or Parks & Recreation reserves the right to dispose of it)
