Conservation Commission
In 2010, Ordinance 10-03 was passed separating the IWWA and the Conservation Commission. The Conservation Commission, an advisory commission, is tasked with the following:
- Land Use Research
- Proposing a greenway plan for the POCD
- Inventorying the Town’s natural resources
- Establishing a watershed management plan
- Establishing a drought management plan
- Indexing all open areas, both public and private, including wetlands
- Recommending plans and programs for development and use of such open areas
- Recommending proposed land use changes
- Preparing and distributing books and maps for the above purposes
- Recording meetings and activities
- Submitting an annual report
