Farming & Agriculture
Agriculture in East Windsor
Farms and farmland remain prominent in many Connecticut towns including East Windsor. Agriculture is an integral part of the Town's landscape and overall economic picture. The Town of East Windsor understands the importance that agricultural activities provide, not only the benefits of locally grown produce and plants, but also in providing open space and wildlife habitats. The Town of East Windsor amended its Zoning Regulations to reflect farm-friendly provisions and the Town adopted a Right-To-Farm Ordinance in 2011 to help preserve farming.
