2021 Scarecrow Contest

2021's Theme is the Olympics!

This annual contest is open to individuals, families, groups, organizations and businesses.  All entries will be judged online through the East Windsor Parks and Recreation Facebook Page beginning October 20th.  Winners will be notified and prizes will be awarded to the Top 3 Displays!

Rules:

• Register at the Parks & Recreation Office by calling 860.627.6662
• All scarecrows must be registered and set up in front of Town Hall at 11 Rye Street (Broad Brook) between Friday, October 15th and Monday, October 18th.
• Your scarecrow must be able to withstand weather and wind
• Perishable goods are not recommended for use in your scarecrow
• Only 2x4 pieces of lumber are allowed to secure your scarecrow to the ground
• Label your scarecrow with an easily visible sign that has your name and Olympic athlete or event
• Remove your scarecrow no later than Monday, November 15th (or Parks & Recreation reserves the right to dispose of it)
