Hearts for Heroes

hearts for heroes

Today we are very excited to announce the Hearts for Heroes initiative. This is our way of showing support and gratitude for all the essential workers continuing to work hard and make sacrifices during this difficult time. We are asking residents to help show their support and prove just how strong East Windsor is by placing hearts in windows, on doors, in yards or any other creative ways they can think of! Each color represents a specific sector of essential worker, but together all hearts stand for support within the community.

In addition, in the coming days and weeks we will be placing East Windsor Strong signs throughout town as a symbol of solidarity – at nursing homes, town hall, fire departments and on the lawns of businesses, organizations and homes of those who should be recognized as East Windsor Heroes. This is where your help is needed! If you would like to recognize a hero in the community, please email dwilliams@eastwindsorct.com or scharette@eastwindsorct.com with the name and address of the person you would like to nominate. You may also call the Parks & Recreation Office at 860.627.6662 with your nomination. Thank you and we look forward to seeing all your hearts!!
