S.T.E.A.M. Works Using LEGO

Children are working with standard LEGO materials to problem solve pre-engineering challenges involving structure, levers, gears, pulleys and other elements of simple machines. Registration will close on Thursday, April 25th.
Dates: 5/2 - 6/6
Time: Thursdays 3:45-4:45pm
Ages: 6-9
Fee: $90.00

Babysitting 101 Course
This course is for youth 10-15 years of age.  This is an entry level course intended to teach age appropriate skills necessary to care for children of all ages using team babysitting, mother's helper and individual babysitting concepts.  The course focuses on safety with emphasis on prevention.  Basic first aid and obstructed airway management for a conscious choking adult/child and infant will be covered.  Other topics include hand washing, diapering, bottle feeding, personal safety, interview skills and more.  Booklet, handouts and Babysitter Certificate of completion included. Registration will close on Wednesday, May 15th.

Pizza with a Purpose
The newly founded Youth Service Bureau of East Windsor will be hosting this new educational series for families.  Families are invited to have pizza at 6:00pm, then kids will participate in activities and crafts while parents/guardians hear information about a monthly topic.  May's topic will be Water Safety presented by Samantha Charette of East Windsor Parks & Recreation. Please RSVP by the Monday prior to the session by calling Social Services at 860.623.2430.
