Trade Name Certificate

In you are interested in operating a business in the Town of East Windsor and the business name will be something other than your own, the State of Connecticut requires a Trade Name Certificate Application to be filed in the Town Clerk's Office or to register with the Secretary of the State's Office as a corporation or limited liability company.

If you discontinue operating your business in the Town of East Windsor, you will need to file a Discontinuance of Trade Name Certificate Form in the Town Clerk's Office.

• The filing fee for an Trade Name Certificate is $10.00.
• There is no cost to file a Discontinuance of Trade Name Certificate.
